I have a Data Table function in my excel sheet that I am trying to use with Xcelsius Dashboard (Version 6).
I noticed xcelsius does not support this function and was wondering if anybody knew of an alternative way
of getting this done? Thx in advance for your time and help!

we have installed BI Standard content dashboards in BW 7.3. Now I need to open the dashboards using Dashboard Design 4.0 SP7.
I tried to open the using the Sap menu SAP > Open but it gives the following error
Can you please suggest me, what are the prerequisites that we need to have and the way to access the dashboards which are activated in BW 7.3.

I was doing a comparison between BO R2 and BO 4.0.To check the benefits of implementing BO 4.0 on a old installation of BO R2.
So wanted to check were Heat Map and Gauge charts (Speedometer) also available in SAP BO R2.
Also wanted to check does BO R2 support integration with 3rd party security system

We are testing the new feature in 4.1 i.e. support for QaaWS connection in Mobile devices.
Dashboard Designer version is BO 4.1 SP2 Patch 1
BO Server also BO 4.1 SP2 patch 1
Scenario:
Webi Report Block --- Web Service ---- WebService used as QaaWS connection in Dashboard Designer (note: Qaaws connection supported for mobile devices)
Desktop Preview - Prompts for user logon (as expected) and after providing user login details the dashboard is working.
Mobile Preview - Dashboard Designer is not prompting for logon screen and I am getting the error "Enterprise authentication could not log you on. Please make sure your logon information is not empty." Same issue in Ipad as well.
But If I hard code the username and password then the dashboard is working in mobile preview and Ipad as well. Looks like username and password is defaulted to blank values.
Is it something missing in Mobile Server?
Please let me know if you have tested Mobile dashboards based on QaaWS connection in BO 4.1.

Hi Experts,
We have a drop down for selecting month/year for the dash boards. In one of drop downs, only until 10/2013 can be seen and in the other dash board only until 08/2013 can be selected. Please let me know what needs to be done to get all the values until 01/2014?
i need to create a dashboard as below feature:
1、the dashboard need receive 7 patameters as input value thought stored procedured (the procedured will store the result into a table);

I have a dashboard in directly connecting with a bex query.
I need to get the values from a hierarchy node variable(type is user exit) for orgnizaiton unit in that bex query.
My problem is that dashboard can't recieve the hierarchy node from bex query whatever I've changed that variable.
I really hope someone can give me some advise because this is an very urgent case for me.

At the end of installation I received a message that said: "Missing installdir reg key for installiverse, required for uninstall. Key: SOFTWARE\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\Installer\aurora Value: Path".
Installed with administrator login. Error screen shot has been attached.

Hi All,
I have a Column Chart; configured using 'In Series' and I have 2 series. Plan, Actual.
The column chart is working fine, with data from both series.
X-axis contains 6 products and Y-axis is the Cost.
I need to show the percentage increase/decrease for Plan vs Actual for each product.
Can anyone guide me on this?

We are using SBOPdashboards 4.1 SP1 and MS Office 2007 SP2 on Windows server 2008 R2.
We have already tried re-installing MS office and Dashboards. But it did not resolve the issue.

Just updated our BO environment form xi3.x to xi4.1 and SAP BW 7.3 and our Dashboards running successful in our portal (not SAP portal).
The approach I have is to simplify the overall process - so I am braking the rule "never touch a running system" :-) - but the maintenance is horrible!
Briefly explained:
- We have Dashboards (Xcelsius) which are published in our companies portal.
- The Dashboards itself are saved in the BW System - so they are not in the BOE Server!
- These Dashboards receive data from SAP BEx Queries.
- If the users would like to print one of the Dashboards, Crystal Reports will be called via Opendocument.
The question is now: Is it possible to call Dashboards via opendocument even they are not in BOE System?
For example: The Dashboards are displayed in the portal, after selecting the "print" option, the same Dashboard is been called via opendocument with the additional tag of printing as PDF directly (sOutputFormat=P).
I would like to get rid of Crystal as this is just a copy of the Dashboards only for printing purposes.
Is this possible, do you have a better, more suitable solution here?

I am in SAP BI 4.0 Sp7 with patch 5. I have built a dashboard using Dashboard designer based on B.Ex query as a source. I have Characteristics "Sales Organisation" "Customer" (both are compounded) and few Key figures.
I have created query prompt selectors for the both chars in Dashboard. Intially the report displays for all the Sales organisations and the Customers but when I change to a particular sales org , then I want to filter the Customers but still I can see all Customers which I dont want. Below is an example
initial display:

| C | John C |
After restrcting Sales Org A
| Sales Org | Customer |
| A | John A |
| John B | |
| John C |
I dont want John B and John C should be seen in the box for when the Sales Org is A as they dont belong to it. In the B.Ex query the display option (Extended) is selected with posted values with navigation but still doent work.

I am using CR 2008 SP5 and Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP5. I have created a Crystal report with 10 flash objects (1 per page) to display in the crystal report. The data is coming through an SP and I am converting it into XML in crystal reports and passing into the SWF files using flash variables. The embedded flash objects were built to handle 500 rows of data in the flash variables, but I used only 9 rows as dummy data while creating the Flash Objects. Everything went right, I generated the flash, embedded into the crystal reports, linked the Flash variables to the formulae and previewed it successfully and exported to the PDF successfully. But when I updated the data source with 500 records, it previews fine but when I export it to PDF it says
The whole project is dependent on flash objects to have 500 records and delivering the report in PDF. I am not getting exactly where the issue is as I am blocked in figuring it out. When I exported directly to PDF from Xcelsius with 500 records of data, It worked fine.
I think Crystal report has some issue exporting to PDF with 500 records. Anyone had this issue before? Could anyone suggest some work arounds to make this report export successfully to PDF?
Please take a look at attachment. This is what happens with every dashboard if I open from BI LaunchPad.
Is there a way to get rid of this?

Hi there,
I am working with Xcelsius 2008 to build a dashbaord. Unfortunately I cannot work with Dashboard Design, as it collapses everytime I try to open it. But that's not the issue.
My problem is that Xcelsius stopped working properly. The format of all new added items don't change anymore, which means that I cannot see any optical changes that I do. After trying to close the program and open it again around 20 times, I discovered that now even my dashboard is broken. When I click on preview or even export the dasboard, I can only see zero values. I have been working on this dashboard for weeks and I was almost finished, which makes me very desperate. Can anybody help me please?

I am using Crystal Reports 2008 SP5 and Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP5 .
I embedded the Flash in the crystal reports and the Flash has 7 Flash variables which are connected to the formulae in the crystal report. Each formula connected to the flash variable is less than the 65534 character limit and works fine when previewed. All the data reflect perfectly in the preview mode. When we try to export it into the PDF, we are getting the error FAILED TO EXPORT THE REPORT and NOT SUPPORTED.
In my opinion, it is a tool bug that when exporting it is considering all the flash variable lengths appended under the limit of 65534 instead of considering one variable length under the 65534 limit.
This is why we can successfully preview, but cannot export. Is there anyway to overcome this bug?
